Bleeding Love's Description


"Bleeding Love" is a pop ballad written by Jesse McCartney  and Ryan Tedder produced forBritish singer Leona Lewis's debut album, Spirit.  The song is the album's lead single (Lewis's official second single following "A Moment Like This"), released in the United Kingdom and theRepublic of Ireland in October 2007.  "Bleeding Love" became the best-selling single of 2007 in the United Kingdom,  and, since the single's release, it has become a major international hit as the best-selling single of 2008. "Bleeding Love" is also the best selling song of the decade by a female artist, this was previously held by Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie".

The single has reached number one in over 34 countries,  including Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This is the second song to achieve this feat after Candle in the Wind. The video aired on 17 October 2007,  and was uploaded to popular video-sharing website YouTubeon the same day, where it has garnered over 82 million views, making it the 8th most watched video of all-time on the site. 

The track has sold 3,420,000 digital downloads in the United States alone, and was the best selling single there in 2008  The song achieved a similar feat in the United Kingdom where it was the best-selling single of 2007. 
"Bleeding Love" has charted within the UK top 100 singles chart in three different years, in 2007 it peaked at #1, 2008 at #2 and 2009 at #97.[10] "Bleeding Love" was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards
